{ Couples }

Bonjour! It is just beautiful outside today, I can feel a little hop in my step already. My bean is sleeping and I am working, all is perfect. Today I have these cute couple images that are limited edition prints, so sweet. They are available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

{ Sketch #6 }

Todays sketch which I actually had time to do before the sun set is also inspired by a retro colour palette and the loveliness of stripes.

{New Work: A Very Modern Christmas}

Happy Friday everyone! With the American Thanksgiving behind us it feels like the Holiday season has finally begun. So to welcome the Holiday season I am sharing some new work, that was a lot of fun to create. I completed the illustration using three different colour palettes, and I love how they turned out. Is there one colour palette that you like best? I can't decide, I like them all.

{ A Sweet Story Press Christmas }

Happy Monday everyone! Today I am just saying hello and that I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We sure did. I finally learned how to knit in the round (its quite tricky), I took a trip to Queen West while the hubby had daddy duties and we kicked off Sunday with a little family brunch at the sister (I love that place) followed up with some much needed organizing.

I have the upcoming Holidays on the brain so I added a little Christmas cheer to Sweet Story Press today. I have a lot of exciting things planned for my blog, a featured artist post, Holiday 2011 cards, knitted leg warmers and more!

{ New Work: Telephones }

You are in for a treat today, not only did I share family fun photos from our fall weekend excursion but I also have some new work to share today. I decided to try something new with my digital work, it was a great exercise and I really enjoyed working digitally again with an added new twist. I used a vintage colour palatte which I may try to incorporate in my work more often (digital and watercolour, because I am loving it), and I added some lovely hand lettering (really love hand lettering too, whether digital or in a traditional medium).

To me, being a designer/illustrator means never being afraid to change or to try new things thats how we grow creatively, and that is what this year has been all about!
