{ The Many Hats of Autumn }

With the Summer sun behind us and Autumn officially here it is time to start putting on comfy sweaters and darling hats! I love Autumn, the cooler days, changing leaves and these lovely hats made by Wildhagen a hat company that is based in Toronto. I can just imagine myself strolling down trendy Queen West with one of these stylish hats on, can't you?

{ Baby Shower Invites }

Recently I had the very exciting task of designing my own baby shower invites! It was great fun perusing the internet for a little baby inspiration. In the end my husband and I decided to go with a design that was inspired by my love for nesting dolls and our growing family. The theme of my baby shower is Autumn (not your typical baby shower theme, but one of my favourite seasons) so a punchy purple and orange palette was used.
I also lined the envelopes in both a petite floral paper and a more modern damask paper. With each invitation I included a manila tag that had registry information on one side and a cute poem asking family and friends to contribute to Baby's library instead of buying a card on the other. I finished of the tags with a little bakers twine (this stuff is great)

I love the final outcome, and I can't wait to share these special invites with my family and friends.

Enjoy

{ Engagement Invite }

With September well on its way, weather getting a bit cooler and baking delicious fall desserts on my mind I thought it would be appropriate to share a recent Engagement invite that I had the pleasure of working on.

The bride envisioned something really different for the announcement for her upcoming engagement soirée. Something with a simple colour palette, black, white and a small pop of colour. She really wanted a design that reflected their unique personalities.

What I ended up creating was an invite inspired by a newspaper clipping, the bride took it one step further and provided me with a cute little recipe for "I said yes" cupcakes, with the details for the event following the recipe. This was a great project to work on and a lot of fun.

I hope to post the photos of this darling little engagement invite soon!
