This post is for all the men out there, I came across this wonderful tutorial on the Purl Bee (one of my all time favourite craft sites) on how to make custom ties. I think this is a fun project for a crafty gal to give as a gift for that special man in her life or even as a gift for all the groomsmen in a wedding. I think ties made in a lovely fabric such as Liberty London would be just smashing!

{ Introducing.... }

Introducing my debut card line for Fall 2011! The inspiration for this line was a whimsical take on forest animals wearing different kinds of hats, the line was a lot of fun to create as it is my first card line released since the birth of our baby girl (such an inspiration) and it is my first card line in a new medium, watercolour. I really enjoyed working on these cards and will be adding to the line throughout the year and into 2012. I have a lot of exciting ideas for other paper products planned for the rest of 2011 and into the new year so be sure to check back often!

These cards will be available for purchase in my Etsy shop soon!

{ On my night stand }

Here are a few books that I would like to add to my reading list and hopefully will be on my nightstand soon. I find books so inspiring, I know that a lot of people love the ease of a book reader but there is something just so nice about a book in your hands, call me crazy but I love the smell of a new book!

{ Decorative Paper Lanterns }

Photo credit + Tutorial: Martha Stewart

With the first birthday of our baby girl fast approaching I've started to think about decor for the big day, even though it isn't until January I think that it is never too soon to start planning something so special. I found these beautiful decorative paper lanterns from Martha Stewart, oh Martha you always share such lovely things. These lanterns are fabulous as party decor for a birthday or wedding and as a way to dress up a room, with or without a light.
