Happy Friday Everyone, here are two textile prints I recently reworked and am quite happy with. I thought it would be fun to share them with you on this very lovely Friday afternoon.
Yesterday my little family and I went to a barbecue at a friends house (who sadly we do not see often enough) only to find out that she recently got engaged (we are overjoyed for her and her husband to be) So exciting! I am literally jumping up and down for her on the inside. This wonderful news got us to chatting about venues, dresses and all the wonderful things that go hand in hand with wedding planning (I am a bit biased when it comes to weddings, I LOVE them). Since our friend is quite the baker, and hostess (the next Martha Stewart) I thought it would be fitting today to share some wedding dessert ideas beyond the cake!
After the birth of our precious little girl, I've started thinking about toys and how special and fun it would be if I were to make her some plush toys..... so more projects are officially added to my ever growing list of things to make. Here are bunch of incredibly cute soft toys to make for your little one or to give as gifts.
PS I love, love, love THE BLACK APPLE.
PPS There are many dolls on The Black Apple website to love.
If you are anything like me you may have a bunch of paint chip samples lying around the house from the last time you decided to paint a room. If so you are in luck because I recently came across the cutest idea of how to use up those old paint chip samples via the amazing blog How about orange. These super cute boxes would be perfect for favours for a wedding, don't you think? You could collect a whole bunch of different coloured samples to use or work within your colour palette. However you decide to use these darling boxes, I am sure they will delight your guests!
So sorry I haven't been keeping up with my posts, I went away for a much needed break for awhile, worked on a very special baby invitation suite and of course I have been taking care of my own little one. Here is a piece I finished a while back and finally have time to share!
I hope that you have been enjoying the hot, hot summer weather.
